Picked up this fairly common Companion silent burner stove for a fair amount. The stove does not have the crimpled feet which are usual for the rounded air screw later Companion stoves (Type 3). The stove came with a Primus burner, a Companion inner cap, a round air screw, no burner outercap and no spirit cup at all. Assuming it is the earlier transitional version I have added a stamped 'Companion' spirit cup and the correct Companion burner along with an SH&S 1945 brass burner outer cap. I had a big job getting the pump leather cup replaced as the genuine Companion pump leathers with the riveted construction are hard to come by. I swapped in a brass Companion pump rod (slightly thicker rod @ 6.38 mm) for the steel one and finally got it going. They are a nice reliable simple stove and I still get a kick out of restoring them. Note the Companion rivetted pump leather and the steel pump rod (5.47 mm diameter).
