    A surprise bonus that came with an internet purchase parts stove. One very neat piece of DIY tinmanship. Looks barely if ever used, but a credit to its maker whoever that was.

    From an empty Frears Ltd biscuit tin to a homemade funnel - and a wonderful one at that.

    Red and white Frears floral biscuit tin design - 1950’s to early 1960’s or a little earlier, into the late 1940’s perhaps?

    I guess the stove it came with is the best clue.

    Great personal touch. And the seams and handle show it was made by somebody with experience of sheet metalworking- or the ability to observe good design, learn and put into practice.

    I wish it did, but the stove that accompanied it was much older. The link that there was, was simply both had been in the hands of someone who knew what they were doing.
