Stejar’s classification timeline for Radius 21’s. In THIS post relating to my later production Radius 21 Blackdog said: I get why Chris, the ‘shooting star’ logo is a classic creation, displayed prominently on the stove and its box. Regarding the box/tin There’s a lot to admire, including the recess formed for the handle. The polychromatic blue colour is something more recently encountered on custom automobile and motorcycle paint jobs from the 1970’s but on a 1930’s product is perhaps surprising. Some more views. A beautifully preserved and presented example, thank you. A treat to see! The shooting star is a powerful emblem indeed, a captivating piece of imagery especially apt for the models aimed at the outdoor market. I wasn't a stranger to paraffin stoves before discovering CCS- but I'd never come across Radius before and found their logo captivating. To learn it appealed similarly to many others in the past would be no surprise. An interesting observation, it's easy to imagine this being another example of the constant effort at Radius to offer something a little extra. The competition No.00 from Optimus would be in a smart blue tin with some fine details, while a Primus No.210 would be in an equally smart red tin with the wonderful sunrise (or sunset?) lid. But neither compare to the bold geometry and riot of colour of the Radius design, particularly the lid and wonderful front panel with catch. There's no doubt this contrasting colour scheme would have been eye catching even in the gloomiest ironmonger's shop, with the polychromatic blue finish adding that extra sparkle on closer inspection.
