does anyone know when the primus 96 range came into being?

From new info I have found I'm pretty sure it was 1911. I have a hardware catalogue showing it as a "new pattern" although it does not give a model number. The picture is of a 96 & the tin dimensions match my 1912 tin. There is a what I'm sure is a type error in the ad stating a tank capacity of 1 pint but this size tank would not fit in the 2.5" x 4.5" x 5.5" tin!
The 96 does not feature in any pre-1911 Primus catalogues I have & I have not seen any early style 96's without a date stamp. If I'm right the earliest should be an A.
