    Found this old stove a few days ago. May be from 1911, when it was first seen in K.F.Eriksson's 'Svecia' catalogue.

    Without spiritcup and missing one leg.

    The burner is from a Radius, I assume the original is a Svecia? On the tank it says No.1 so it originally had a roarburner.
    Out of respect for its patina and age, I have only washed and cleaned it, lubricated and changed the gaskets. Completed it with an old spiritcup with the right patina.
    I flushed the tank and filled in new kerosene, lubricated the pump gasket and cleaned the nozzle. Then I fired it up. At first it burned with a green flame, gradually it became a blue and pure flame.

    Someone has been happy with this and repaired it when one leg broke.

    A very interesting stove . You have done a great job in getting it functional again . Preserving the patina is a good choice in my humble opinion . Well done
    Cheers Alastair

    Thank you very much Alastair. I agree. Previously, I polished all the stoves in my collection. Not anymore. It may take an hour of polishing to remove the patina of several generations.

    Thank you @ROBBO55
    It was impressive to see how you made a new leg. Maybe I'll try it one day :content:

    Thank you for posting, @Magne Fahre.

    I have a soft spot for Eriksson stoves.

    Cheers

    @Magne Fahre
    Thank you for the compliment.
    I agree with you that it is the version shown in the 1911 /12/16 catalogues. I'm

    Not sure if you read this document regarding the name Imperator.

    @ROBBO55

    Thanks for sharing. For clarification, that document shared by @Conny C doesn’t give the right to use the word “Imperator”, but it’s a trademark registration of the word “Imperator”… so thanks to that document the Aktiebolaget Järnvägsmaterial is the only company with the right to use the word “Imperator”.

    The only problem is that this trademark, surprisingly, is valid only for the category “motori”… “engines”, so no mentions about stoves.

    @Nicola Francesco Elia

    Thanks Nicola for the additional information.
    Unless there was a later amendment to the document it looks like they took a broad interpretation of the term engine. :whistle:

    Or Eriksson couldn’t read Italian either. :lol:

    @ROBBO55 you’re welcome, that seemed weird to me too… unless Aktiebolaget Järnvägsmaterial was producing also engines… I don’t know :)
