Pump it up & dunk it in a bucket of water :-)
Its the Pump & Dunk test ... The bubbles will show you where to fettle.

Hi The punnisher (The punnisher????) hmm (that reminds me to never leave my thong in the tumble dryer, two sizes too small now!! oh well gotta keep wearing them, they were a christmas prezzy in 1996.)

When i replaced the O ring on the filler cap, the old one was a pain to remove, had to make sure every bit was cleaned off back to clean brass.
A little bit of silicone grease on the seal to finnish.

    Hello,

The fuel control knob is hard to turn because the packing nut on the there side of the knob is too tight. You can loosen it a little and then check to see that it still seals.

Hello P, there is a good diagram and parts list HERE for a 530. Is your stove still spitting and spluttering?
A46 stands for when it was made, the first 6 months of 1946 if you did not already know.

P, I have just had a look at one of my 530's. Where it says "PAT NOS ########### AND USE VAPORISER NO###" this should be the first strut after the filler cap as you look at it but I do not think it makes a lot of difference.
My one is an A46 as well

Punisher....Go into the Stove Reference Gallery on the site here and and check out a couple of the photos posted in thre for the 530's. The one subtitled "bullet stove" (I think) has a couple close-ups of the support legs that have the imprinted directions on them. You should be able to tell if yours are correct from the photos.

Could be H20 in the C8H18??

Try to drain/suction it out and refill with fresh C8H18.

If that doesn't work, perhaps its time for a new vaporizer or vaporizer screen.

    Good luck,

    AR
