Primus 1684 Protecting Plate

    Here is the Primus 1684 Protecting Plate. This accessory was used on the Primus #2 and #6 stove to deflect(?)/reflect(?) heat from the tank. The plate is shown in the last picture on a Bahco Primus #2.

    :-k I wonder what would the other end of the chain have been attached to - the label seems to indicate something above the stove...

    Hi, I had always assumed that the ring on the end of the chain was slipped over one of the stove legs, but I was wrong!

    It appears that the chain was attached to a rail on the front of the cast iron pot support frame, under which the stove sat.

    Over the stove leg if it's under an oven or under a tripod or other large apparatus but on the cast-iron range there is a small hole in the front access flap that the ring goes through.
