Hello! I have seen a pretty strange stove, considering buying it aswell. But I really can`t find out what type it is, or what use it is intended for. Got three burners, two big and one smaller. Any ideas?
Hi Tor, No idea , but with no pot-rests/legs or other structure to support anything, my first idea is that it is a home-made piece, maybe to demonstrate the different burners. The riser tubes look to be brighter, newer brass, so that may support that theory. The handles on the tank are very Primus/Optimus blow-lamp type. So you have me baffled and also very intregued . It will be great to hear other member's views. A strange item indeed. Thanks for showing it to us. Steve.
Roit, 'ere goes! Think of a Very Large Vessel, full of water that needs to be boiled (washing tub in a fortress or convent; lotsa sheets and underwear to be kept clean, or lotsa potaters for human or cattle feed to be boiled). Step 1: while filling the V.L.V. (see above) pre-heat and start all 3 burners, Step 2: firmly grab the 2 handles and slide the stove under the V.L.V. (as this is a V.L.V., it will be to heavy for potholders, the V.L.V. is using its very own Special Support For Very Large Vessels!), Step 3: when reaching boiling point use key to regulate or extinguish 1 or 2 of the burners, Step 4: depending on wether a rolling boil or a simmer is required one can chose to use 1 of the large burners or the smaller burner. Thanks for replies! After some searching, I found it looks a bit like the Sievert 3098. Regarding the catalogue, it could be delivered with these foldable handles as option, part no.1851! But even if it looks a bit like the 3098, this one looks a bit older, and there is nothing in the catalogue about the one smaller burner.. But decision made: it will be bought in an hour or so, I'm too curious to let it go..!!

Hallo m8!! That is correct, it is the one listed at Tradera! I won the auction, now waiting to receive it. Made a maxbid at 1500,- just to make sure I "secured" it, got it for 539,- I think. As posted before; I just couldn't resist checking it out, and whatever use it is intended for, it will anyway be a great replacement for the standard "adventsljusstake"! Will keep you updated with photos! Btw, my GF doesn't even know about Tradera, but it`s getting harder and harder to "hide" the brass, as my grandad didn't have that many Optimus's, blowtorches, etc..!!
I know the drill. Buy item at tradera, leave it in the basement for a couple of weeks. When the urge to play with it geats to great, pull it out. -This thing? I've had it for ages! My gf is getting wiser though. I'll probably get a rocket stove anyway but will have to bide my time.

Heck, my wife is a real 'Stove-Hound' ! She can spot one from 50 feet away, right after I've just walked past it! She goes 'shopping', I go 'buying'... Keeps her happy, I does! (The alternative is...not good...)
Morning, Mates, I, too, and one of the blessed and lucky ones! Sweet Bride has found many stoves, which I'd already walked past, including my old Optimus Campingo double burner, and many others!! She, and my Mom-in-law, also keep an eye out for an Optimus #9, too, and Mom says, "One of these days, I'll find one for you"!!! How's THAT, for a wife and mother-in-law?!!
