Yes, big indeed and thank you so much for sharing it with us as these are few and far between. As is often the case thanks and credit to Kerophile, Ross and others as when the gens do arrive on the scene "inquiring stovies" collectively present the hard to find details. Few and far between alright, I gather it was maybe 2005 Kerophile found one. His post has excellent detail. https://classiccampstoves.com/threads/4238 Your model appears, very complete, in a 34 SVEA catalog, credit Ross https://classiccampstoves.com/threads/11570 My impression is through it's production it was offered w/a variety of burners. I'm admittedly green re details at times. I wonder what type of burner(s) are used beneath the half dome heaters such as shown in 34 catalog. GREAT stove! My best wishes to stovie friends worldwide for health & happiness this season which is a festive time for many. thx again omc
I wonder why such a great stove is relegated to the "Other Models" category rather having a separate "Svea No: 36" category listed on the main sub-forum page. Same goes for the Svea 153, 154, 155, 156, and 157 which are also relegated to "Other Models" while the "Svea No: 152" and "Svea No: 158" have their own category on the main sub-forum page. I don't know who decides such things or what criteria they use but I can't make rhyme nor reason out of it. Personally, I'd give all stoves that can be identified by model their own listing on the main sub-forum page and relegate only those stoves that can't be identified by model to the "Other Models" catch-all. If it comes down to a matter of space on the main page then I'd lump consecutive model numbers together, for instance "Svea No: 152-158." Being able to look up the model number on the main page would sure simplify things rather than having to scroll through several pages of "Other Models" to find the stove you're looking for. Anyone else have an insight or opinion about this?
I think it has something to do with # of entries. Once there are enough entries, they get their own section..... But I might be wrong...I have been known to walk into walls..
Yea, that was my guess too until I noticed that the ONLY Svea No. 152 has its own category on the main page while the THREE Svea No. 9's are relegated to "Other Models."
Hi, have a look at this super advertising copy for the sister stove, the Svea 26: https://classiccampstoves.com/threads/9987 Best Regards, Kerophile.
That really is great period advertising art. I wish the 26 up in my attic had the protective metal band shield it shows. Maybe I'll try making one someday. .
