Hello everybody I found this Optimus stove #11 a few weeks ago any information concerning this specific model would be greatly appreciated thank you Agostino
Oh, I do like the 11. Very nice find. The 11 came after the Campingo and before the 111. The Campingo and the 11 are dual fuel stoves, gasoline (white gas now) and kerosene. The 11 became the 111 (kerosene), 111B (Gasoline), 111T (Multi Fuel as in Gas, Kerosene, and Alcohol), with some 111C and 111D models thrown in as cold weather variations. Did I say I really like the 11? Ken in NC
There are a few more threads about that model in the various forums. Have you seen the 11s in the Gallery? One of my favorite stoves.
Congrats Agostino, that's a very nice No.11! Re: "any information concerning this specific model would be greatly appreciated" CCS has our Library's catalogs and Member pics in the Gallery. HOWEVER, in your case re catalogs, there aren't (yet) any detailed Optimus catalogs between 1939-57 (there's 1 1953 brochure). Many of the No.11 / 111 model developments occurred during that 39-57 span. SO, although you may have reviewed them already I do recommend the 17 examples in the Gallery. I'd suggest you might begin with this one and we can all thank Pinky again for the excellent research in his post: https://classiccampstoves.com/threads/late-transitional-optimus-11.23870/ thx omc tag @Pinky
