The 71s and 123s are all attractive little stoves. My favourite amongst them has to be the small 71 (in the middle below) It's a proper little sweetie! HEART1.gif
If you use the small key it already has the nipple key stamped out.

    hi rik:

it cleaned up real nice and i tried to fettle it up last night, but it's still burning very weakly.
i cleaned out the jet, ran some some fuel down into the riser tube, but still doesn't have enough power to keep itself going.. i tried removing the burner tube but its screwed in so tight i cannot budge it at all...it's gotta be a bad wick/riser tube blockage problem i would imagine....
it is a nice little piece though, no dents or dings and it cleaned up like New York....
can't wait to get her in shape as Evil has so kindly rounded me up a tin for it...

    thanks
    tim

Filler cap seal? If you don't have a spare, you can use a thin slice of cork to get you going Tim

tried hacking one out of leather last night, the old seal was so hard that it actually cracked into pieces like English toffee...maybe the leather one i rigged isn't good enough...I'll have to get that seal replaced, I'll figure it out eventually...wish i could get that threaded riser tube off the tank though, just to take a look in there, run a pipe cleaner thru or something....

    Robert - Oops,

What's all that silvery stuff wrapped around the base of the burners on those two stoves? Looks like tin foil / aluminum foil, but I doubt it.
Something to UP the temp. in the tank because the silent burner won't self pressurise the tank properly ?

Ebay is probably your best bet, or you can post it in the For Sale / Trade forum here.

Either way, a picture would be useful.
