Somebody knows when these were produced? I saw in papers follow 1947 month 6 ? But it has NATO number certified. NATO was establish in 1949. Confused. My stove is unused.
Hi @HM57, the NATO Stock No. should give an issue date. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/NATO_Stock_Number This post suggests a date of around the 1980s for the Heinze/Geniol military stove: https://classiccampstoves.com/threads/heinze-geniol-dutch-army.27935/ Best Regards, George.
Hi @monkeyboy . Here are some close-up photos of the burner on the Heinze/Geniol stove: https://classiccampstoves.com/threads/windshield-for-heinze-geniol-military-stove.32476/ Best Regards, Kerophile.
i could only find one video of this interesting stove on youtube, but it does show the blow torch lighter/pre-heater in action. beautiful stove but plenty of gadgets on it.
the burner removing wrench in place is a cool idea. somebody was having a ahah day when they figured that out. i love it.
ahah, found another video of meths being used to pre heat the heinze-geniol burner. really robust looking stove.
There are a few threads about windscreens being made for the burner. And @Tony Press has a few nice posts about his adventures with the stove. Like I said, it is one of my favorite stoves.
