I thought I could at least make use of the nrv but the nrv tool does not fit the head of the nrv.

Get a torch and see what type it is, it may not be there at all. I see what you meant about the condition of the stove, I certinately would not take that one on. The pump can be taken out by de soldering it. In fact there is quite a lot of spairs in that one, but only take them when you need them. I would put it on the shelf and not throw it away.

    Cheers

It’s probably best described as “organic steam-punk”. You could solder an irrelevant tap to it to increase its value.

    Cheers

You could add one of those retro light bulbs in an inappropriate place, like at the end of the pump tube. That would double it's worth instantly! Oh, and what about a dial... every steampunk 'object' needs a pointless dial.

Send it to Ross @Spiritburner so it can be used at Newark for the "Throw-a-stove" competition! Then it "can be seen flying" as well...

I have identified it as a steel Primus by comparing it to one I have in a slightly better condition with the Primus stamping still visible.
I may take up Tony’s challenge and fettle it into a working condition just for fun.
