Claytons Tourist Alcohol Stove from Cincinnati patented June 1885.
Nice little stove if a bit underwhelming on the heat front!
For the tourist excursionist traveler bicyclist sportsman canoeist physician mechanic and miner!
Complete with simmer ring billy and box.
Complete stove fits in the billy can for transport. Cast iron with nickel plated burner holder light brass burner like Trangia.

Can I play too? My bun foot Optimus 00 is still one of my favourite stoves and it runs like an absolute belter.8]

    I'm on the way....
As this is a very open category this month, and I don't have any nice French enamelled stoves then I dug this little beauty out.

Do you have a link to it in the Stove Reference Gallery? I can edit it in for you if you have it.

Yes it is in the reference gallery but I struggled to sort the link out. If you can do it I’d be very grateful. Scott

    Evening, @Boogy ,

This must be the one, right?!!

    New touring turm

Ross can shorten it, as I've never played around with that, as of yet. I hope that helps you. Take care, and God Bless!

    My only non-european stove, a Manaslu 96.

The pictures in the gallery was taken when the stove was new.

    Hi, All,

Here's my 1961 Primus Shortie 71, with it's Swiss Marco cookset.

    29.JPG

And, the link to it's place in the Stove Reference Gallery:

1961/62/70s Prius 71 Los Tres Hermanos Cortos de Primus, con Marco, Suiza!

At the end of that post, those of you who do YT, can see and hear this combo in action! This Short 71 has the lovely and strong "puttering" that we all know and love!! Excellent combination, and, IMHO, head and shoulders above and beyond the Optimus 124 cookset. It's most certainly stronger than the 124, but also a tad heavier. Tit for tat, I guess.... Thanks for checking it out, and God Bless!

    Every Good Wish
    Doc
