I just bought my first Enders stove yesterday. Thanks to “bakcview”’s post, and Russenjesus’s wealth of knowledge back on 1-4-19, the Enders is now up and running great. It seems the prior owner had the inner burner cone installed upside down. When I got it home and fired it up, after priming with meths, the tall yellow flame would not settle down. Thanks to the search feature of this awesome forum, there was the solution, including a photo of the owners manual (Thanks Russenjesus!) showing the photo of the burner bell and two flame diffusers, diagramming how they are to be installed. I removed the burner unit assembly, and sure enough, a prior owner had installed the inside burner dome upside down. Simple fix, once you know how..... Yellow flame is gone, and the proper blue flame is now emitting from the burner as it should. This one is a keeper, and will be joining my embossed case 111B, and MSR Firefly. gClark
Ah Kerophile, I see your old post (2008) had the same issue. I guess I just didn’t search back far enough. Interesting that it has been such a recurring problem.... gClark
