I was rummaging through my stash of stoves. I had sort of given up looking for an MSR Firefly I thought I had. I was looking for something else. I moved a box, and this was sitting in the box, all by itself, saying "Hello". Is that proof I have way too many stoves when I cannot even remember the ones I have? I recently came across a Trangia 27 Duossal I had forgotten. He is the Firefly running. Ken
Morning, @snwcmpr , Ken, Great stove, the Fire Fly! I have "several" of those, bought, mainly, for parts, though all are in good, working condition. We've always used pots like those from a Trangia stove, on our FF stoves, as they fit the windscreen almost perfectly, and make packing the entire kit, stove, pots, and windscreen, much easier than using regular pots. You may recall that, Mike Ridout, from MSR, changed my fuel line to one of the brass braided cable versions. I'll be you can do that, yourself, if you can source a spare fuel line. Maybe from a junker Whisperlite International V2? Just a thought, for these days when we all have to stay home. That's given me an idea, which I will share later! Fun stuff! Take care, and God Bless! Thats how camping stoves should be - simple, lightweight and yet 100% functional! I like that outfit! (Too many stoves???? Naaahhh - too little space maybe ;-))
Proof? You need proof?? lol Absolutely the same situation here. Maybe not the same as you with stoves but me and lanterns that is another story. Finding lanterns in places I really don't remember ever putting them never mind trying to remember how they ever ended up at my place. More of that CRS, I think? I agree with Harder. You'd be hard-pressed to find a better stove suited to hiking and camping. Looks good! Alex
