I ever asked me, why so many people love their 210... now I know! Fascinating cool stoves! I really like them! Mine is from 1953, the birth date of my parents and the first succesful ascent of Mt. Everest by Hillary and Norgay. So two further reasons for me to like it Mine came in a good shape, instead of the burner (and the tin). It is quite corroded and was leaking at three spots, the seat of the jet and the flame ring holder. I brazed it (my first try with the Rothenberger Superfire 2 and MAPP gas, worked great). I changed all rubber and cork parts. The NRV had no lead washer, but I got it easily out with the alternating usage of cooling spray and boiling water and a good fitting NRV tool. Ciao, Bastian
Very nice,,, One of the things I enjoy(ed) about Coleman stoves, and lanterns, is/was the dates on them. Month and year, what was going on with me, family, or the world at the point in time when this stove or lantern was made... I have a 210, but it’s really a later Primus(Optimus) sort,,, love it too. I say I’m about stoved out for a while, but if a complete 1950 Primus 210 were to suddenly appear, I’d be hard pressed to not look away,,, very hard pressed...
