Hi Folks, Yesterday I got another Field Kitchen Burner from a local Fleamarket, original it comes from the Britisch Army and I hope You can tell me something about it, or in which Construktion it was used? It burns Gasoline or Gas like Butane / Propane. Here some Pictures. bye Peter
I've no idea about the stove at all ! Typical military though . . . . why have an established and tested item when overcomplicated can be achieved for four times the price
SHOCK :o :o ... It took me several coats of looking at to figure out what all this is ... I think ive got it !! .. Its... ermmmmm .Its BIG & looks unused , Figure .. the burner looking thing is .. well thats a burner , with a fabricated spirit pre-heat tray underneath it .. well the burner is a pre-heater for the generator .. thats the long slim cylinder .. thats above and central to the burners.. the twin, rusty looking shark gilled oval section tubes .. once theyre burning theyll provide heat(lots by the looks) to the generator . 1st pic is looking down on the burners/generator .. with pre-heater to the left 2nd pic is looking at fuel in on right , regulator valve central & generator pre heater to upper left... 3rd pic is pre heater 4th pic . Fuel in on right. removable(chained) fuel regulator key center (Gas or Liquid ??) 5th pic. end view on twin oval section burner tubes ?? Not yet figured the operation of the 'hit & miss' type vent .. its function is air regulation , but cant see how/if its controlled . Look forward to seeing this 'Beasty' in flame .. Well done Peter on finding another interesting LARGE stove ... see here for 'similar' large beasty https://classiccampstoves.com/threads/3709 The stove in this link , i think is called a Military trench cooker . Guessing by the size of your stoves .. Youre not a backpacker Nick
Cap for Fuel just under the two oval burners?? Hmm mabe for something else. Sure would get sort of hot there!!!
Hello Nick, With gasoline normally with the burner pre-heatedly, for gas operation the gasoline carburetor is dismantled and the lines with plugs are locked. The large valve is turned in front around 90? right and supplied directly with gas. The Air in Vent can be turned trough a little gear 2 inch right up from the Central Valve. Will look in the next Days if my Gas Hose has the right Size to be connect. If I will make some Pics. The Military trench cooker is great, very big Flame :-)) , but in my Dreams there is still a much bigger Weedburner. |imgRemoved| bye Peter
