Just because i turned roarer it to silent burner. lol It’s impossible to buy these famous stoves from secondhand dealer in Taiwan. So I spent all my silly money on the holy grail from another CCS member. I can only eat instant noodles now. I don’t want to use white gas at home to cause a fire accident. When i try to use safe kerosene indoors. Damn, there is no pure blue flame. I decided to use a silent burner. Normal silent burner is too high. Radius 43 burner is ok. I plan to cut down the normal silent burner. It is difficult to bend the angle of the copper pipe without tools. A little interference when close the case. No matter what, I'm finally done, I can switch between Silent Burner or Roarer at any time. PS: Episode in life Thanks God! Thanks Classic Camp Stoves! Blessing everyone to be free from Covid-19. Koi from Taiwan.
@Koi I have that kind of pipe bender. It works well. One of the thing you can do st stop the metal creasing, is to fill it with sand. Cheers Tony
Sand can sometimes be difficult to get out after the bend is made. Use salt, it can be removed by flushing with water.
My father was a plumber and he had pipe-bending springs which went inside the pipe to be bent. I've also seen external springs for smaller diameter pipes:- How to use a pipe bending spring? - Wonkee Donkee Tools Scroll down to see how to use external springs for small diameter pipes...
@cottage hill bill It sounds like salt is best for small copper pipes. Thanks! @David Shouksmith This is the first time heard pipe-bending springs. Very good teaching website. Made a small wind shield today.
@Tantra I did not destroy the original design, I just made an extra burner set. I can switch between Silent Burner or Roarer at any time.
Looks very interested and a brave man to modify such a stove! It looks like you have done a good job of making the stove useable for the purpose you need! well done
