Hi All Can any one tell me which are the most common 1/2 pint pressure stoves in UK used market? I'd like a folding feet as I can envisage the Svea106 I have will be quite bulky still when packed down. Cheers J
@Svea106 Monitor half-pinters are commonly seen and undoubtedly offer the best value for money. As good as the Swedish equivalents but commanding a fraction of the price, currently.
Thanks - I now see I need to learn about 'lipstick' burners! Are all teh 1/2 pinters using that tech?
Hi, @Svea106 , The Manaslu 96 is an outstanding stove, and IMHO, "Best of Breed", for the little 1/2 pint stoves! It's not always easy to find, and the price will be quite a bit higher than the Swedish, or British made little stoves. BUT, I love mine, and have never found anyone who did not love theirs! Worth the coin, if you can find one! Don't get me wrong, as the other little 1/2 pinters are also very, very good, and work a treat! But, the Manaslu is "cut from different cloth", so to speak, and a real treasure to own and use. Take care, and God Bless! Happy days! I visited an old friend of mine and mentioned the Svea I was working on. In a jiffy he magiced up a Valor 1lite complete with tin all beautifully packed. he also mentioned a 'smaller one' of his late father's that was 'somewhere'. Later on in the day he dropped off a Primus 96 that he's found as a gift!
