A slightly later version of this stove compared to the 1929 dated example posted by @Bratok_xxl. This one is undated, unlike the 1929 example and those mentioned in the other 2 1920s references (here and here). Taking all information into account the most likely production date parameters seem to be between 1930 and 1936. Brass cementation at the Tula Cartridge Plant had originally begun in 1886 for making brass rifle cartridges, primus stove manufacture was a post-WW1, Soviet era, off-shoot from the main purpose of the plant. The Tula Cartridge Works mark is lovely and clear: ("Тульский патронный завод" - Tulskiy Patronniy Zavod - Tula Cartridge Works) The burner seems to be the only fitting which is definitely not original, old though it is it must be a later service replacement: The markings read as "ПРОГРЕСС" and "ХАРЬКОВ". These indicate a production facility, 'Progress', at Karkov/Karkiv. As a service replacement this chimes with the fact that the stove has been sourced from within the Ukraine. Fired up nicely after a basic clean and service without the need for any further work:
A very utilitarian looking design, a big factor in this being the sharply formed edge between tank sides and top. I would be interested in any observations on build quality?
