I recently bought a Radius Ltd No 5 stove with an interesting burner. From the sellers photos, I found it to be a «tube burner». I expected it to be from KFE /Eskilstuna. It would fit nicely on my old Eskilstuna stove which has had its original burner replaced. But when the stove arrived, I found that the tube burner actually is from Radius. I cannot find this burner anywhere in CCS. Does anyone else know this type of burner from Radius?

@gieorgijewski let’s throw a stone Because it’s usual to find a later burner on an early stove… and very rarely the opposite… an early burner on a newer stove (in this case we have this radius burner that we think very old on a Radius Ltd). What if these radius coil/tubular burners are a later Indian production? (I guess you and @multi-cho already had this sensation). Nicola
Thanks, @Nicola Francesco Elia - I conducted the search with "tube burner" - directly translated from Swedish "rör brennare", so I had no hits. But certainly, there are a couple of "sightings"of this burner already, as you point out. It seems that this burner is an old one, when comparing to identical and similar ones documente here at CCS. It is reasonable to assume it is dated pre-WW1?
@Håvard Kvernelv Well, the style of this burner would suggest a dating close to similar well known burners, like svea 800-801… But… some details suggest me a later Indian production: 1: the fact that it is found onto a later Radius Ltd stove 2: the Arabic inscription on the burner So at the moment I am more for a later than an earlier dating. @Håvard Kvernelv Yes, sure every Swedish manufacturer at a certain point included Arabic texts on their stoves and burners, but that didn’t happen in the early years. I am not saying it’s made by Servals or it’s the Venus burner. I am saying that this type of burner could have been outsourced to Indian manufacturing. The fact that the burner is marked Radius Sweden doesn’t mean that it’s made in Sweden. When you outsource a product it clearly can be branded as you wish. We will keep the investigations on this Radius burner for sure Nicola
The three copies reported are all in situations where they are replacement burners. Is there any way to know how long a part waits before being fitted? I think of my father-in-law who purchased a gear lever for his tractor. The lever had sat 50 years at the dealer. In that case the tractor was just as old, but with stoves the old spare can still fit the newer fount.
