Barthel Furnace

    Found this at the Toowoomba Swap in Australia. Seems to be later than some with plastic pump handle. Plate says it is for paraffin .Does anyone know about this model..Did it originally have red paint. Current paint job seems later as there is overspray on the pump handle and brass parts are painted IMG20240217103219.jpg

    @Tom Pedersen I'm glad that you pointed out it runs on Kerosene because the serial number on @ozjames 's second thumbnail confusingly says "petroleum paraffin" which, in the UK, would suggest petrol or paraffin to the uninitiated.

    Yes indeed John, the petroleum/paraffin thing could confuse in the UK. It’s thanks to CCS/CPL’s multi-national membership and their sharing of their countries’ names for fuels that I realise that ‘petroleum’ is paraffin/kerosene in parts of continental Europe.

    Thanks. I would say an earlier model. Different pump handle and collar on the pump brass not plastic .
