    Hello stove-friends,
This is the first time I have a regulated burner in my modest stove collection. Of course I don’t want to ruin it. That’s why I like to know how it is constructed before I start fettling.
    Any tips? Do’s and don’ts?
    Thank you!!

HERE’s a useful thread to read. It shows the internal construction, with discussion, of a similar Optimus burner.

    1. Take the nipple off.

    2. Turn the spindle to raise the pricker rack and turn the burner upside down to release the pricker and rack.

    3. Unscrew the packing box from the burner and detach it from the burner.

    4. Unscrew the spindle from the burner.

Then give it all a good clean. Keep the graphite packing for reuse.

    Thank you, Tony!

That’s quite clear, but: I’ve got an unexpected problem: the nipple won’t unscrew. Stuck.

Heat the nipple - it usually loosen easier when hot - 5mm key size on all standard nipples on that design, Primus NRV key fits.
