    Well... I'm back...and...... Great success!

    The new cap has enough meat to get the old threads drilled out and threaded for the Svea....runs like it was made that way...and now the cap will not fall out if I tap it

    Is this teh cap for teh iWalker G43s drilled out & tapped? I'm having a hard time following teh various branches or this thread (not enough caffine apparently).

    @Ziradog yes... This is that exact cap... The one with the M10x1.0 threads for the g43s iwalker stove. I drilled out the threads and rethreaded it to fit on my Svea and Optimus 8r

    @Remus1956 Great result- nice there is currently a silent cap 'off the shelf', or with re-tapping, the entire burner bell too.

    @Blackdog it was pretty simple. Not sure which I like more...the one I had to cut apart and put the cap into a SVEA burner, or rethreaded the cap. I think I prefer the threaded one, but since the cap is pressed into the bell you cant disassemble it to clean it if you have spill over or something like that.
    Works good though...

    Just not sure what kind of stove takes this? Maybe a Perkektus 50? I have no stove that would take caps like this...
    Just throwing this out there...

    @Remus1956 oh I don’t know, but I have many stoves to try it on… Moha 1 could be a receiver, considering its original cap with 9 rows of holes

    Oh, now that I have seen the 2,3cm of inner tube I guess it’s suitable only for gigantic burners… no good for moha…

    This is big, I thought it could be interesting to make one modified specially for alcohol stove like on the 111 but on the 111 the tube is 1.3 cm and silent cap circumference 4.3 cm. Wow this is very big !!!!!

    @Remus1956 Really neat modification, thanks for sharing! Which size of a drill bit did you use before threading?

    @Mikko I used a 7/16x26 tpi tap to thread it. It works but if I was going to do it again I think I just use the top part and put it in a svea bell and crimp it in .. It's easier in my opinion

    Diameter wise, it isn't far off a Primus 4147 (although it wasn't confirmed that big silent burner was a 4147). Vastly different number of holes though, so the vapour pressure may be too far off for the caps to work...

    @Remus1956 wow!

    @Blackdog it seems way bigger than 4047 cap that is basically like Primus 5 with an extra row, as well way bigger than the cap of 4049 on Primus 109 1935 that is more the size of Primus 10/25…

    Probably is bigger as well than the biggest Primus cap of Primus 7, that I had in my hands and wasn’t that big :)

    Nicola
