This Juwel 21 was acquired for 30 €/$, but was lacking the loose burner ring. I was given one at a local shop with same diameter as the base, so air slips in. Would you A. Cut the ring and squeece a bit B. As A, but solder the edges after sanding a bit off C. Use as is Second problem. The thread at the bottom seems not quite tight, so occasionally a small flame sticks out. Should I get some graphite and add on the thread? It burned for about 5 minutes before needing two more pump pushes, so it is rather closed
Your best option is to get the correct (smaller diameter) flame ring. Solder won't hold, silbrazing is not warranted, and bending may work somewhat, but you've ruined a good flame ring. Fogas.se should have the correct sized flame ring. Where is the occasional small flame coming from? Tony
Thanks. Will try fogas.se for the correct size. The flame comes from where the burner head is screwed into the tank
When you are looking for a burner ring, measure across the width. A lot of the ebay vendors will list the diameter do you can find the correct one. I am not sure, but i think this is the same as the optimus 00 ring size. Measure yours...I will measure across some of my random stoves and this will give you something to look for. look here at our sponser. Products found matching 'juwel 21'. - The Fettlebox
@kerophile <----- comes in like superman to save the day...had no idea that post was there. Excellent!
I actually asked fettlebox two times on different parts, but received no answers. Maybe I should write again. There was an auto Reply, so I know it came to them
Thanks @Tony Press Apologies - missed those among the emails that came in while I was on holiday! I have replied.
