I found this a while back, replaced the NRV and oiled the pump leather and it fired up and ran brilliantly! :content:

I stripped it for a quick clean and found the Optimus roarer burner, did a little more digging into 212s and found out it originally had a special silent burner! An R118 comprising of an R117 Burner Body and an R116 Silent Cap. BD's Example

I cleaned it a little better and put it to one side to try and find a burner for it. Months of searching has turned up the burner body but I'm still on the hunt for the silent cap (I may modify a Radius one in the meantime) :-k IGH's Example

So, in the meantime, here's my 1923 (M) Primus No.212, currently fitted with an Optimus roarer burner, which its probably had for many decades after the original burner had issues/lost parts :)

It's a lovely little set, with maybe my favourite style of feet! Really lucky to have found it

Hi @Rangie very nice indeed, your 210 this year is officially now an antique reaching 100 years, and has a nice bit of history the burner probably goy coked up with carbon, and rather than decoke the burner the owner just replaced it, as they were readily available back in their day.
The tin box is not mint but in good condition for it's age, showing the colour and graphics clear and yet shows a its age well done there

Happy birthday 212! In fine condition, it must have been well looked after. Great example of a stove with a limited market and subsequent scarcity!

The recent discovery of a Radius No.537 burner (large No.1/No.5 thread) lead me to look out my Primus 212 again.
I'm still looking for a Primus R116 top cap for the R117 burner body, but in the meantime the Radius has married to the stove easily!

It has also occurred to me that it should have an earlier style of tank cap/release, but hey ho, there's always something else

Another step in the right direction.... 8]
