I have a 111 in need of a coat of paint...

So I popped into Halfords for a light bulb and noticed that they have "High Temperature Engine Enamel"...
Which claims to be good to 450?C.

Comes in Black and RED - and possibly other colours.

I always want to get a colour near to the original colour as possible.

The 111's never been red (but green or blue) and 111C's is shiny black textured.

The advantage of the Hammerite is no need for other first layers.
If you want ligther green or blue you can make a mix of textured light blue or green
with Hammerite Silver (never white) textured or plain.

I use High Temp (700 degrees) for the windshield.

Red is only for persons with bad eyes  - or drunken  - who has difficulties with finding their stoves afterwards ......... :?: :?: :?: :?:

Is there closer high temp paint for a 111B? I seem to remeber something about mercury or comet blue????
I have a very blue burning 111T but it needs a complete stipping and new coat of paint.
What is the closest thing to original??
    Thanks,
    Andrew

As fare as I know - you can't get a real High Temp painting ( 600 degrees Celsius or more) in 111's blue.

Thanks to all for making those of us without cleaned up stoves feel quite inadequate with our burnt out wonders. :(
