This weekend at a local flea market I bought an Optimus 111B with all-chrome tank. Pump-knob and ring, filler cap and preheating 'saucer' all are chromed as well. The case is standard Optimus-blue.

Is there anything known about this variant? I've been checking around on CCS and elsewhere on the web, but found no examples or references of chrome-tank 111B's.

    Thanks, Jur

P.S. The stove is in excellent condition, apart from one rusted top case corner with paint flaked off. It'd be a pity to repaint the whole case, so I'm thinking about only a partial respray. Any suggestions how to go about this will be greatly appreciated.

Forget about the paint job, Jur. Strip the whole case back to bare metal and send it off to the platers. Have the whole shebang in chrome. :D
