The reserve cap boss is there but covered in the lead from the reserve cap lead gasket. The pump knob is home made and in need of replacement.
Great stove mate. I've been looking for one myself. Does it fire up well? Love to see another picture once it's fettled.
Haven't fettled it yet and know it won't fire up just yet. The filler cap gasket is leather, as is the knob.. I think. Mostly, it's the same ole; gaskets, and nitrite rubber. Then the more in depth fettle if needed; jet, riser tube/burner gaskets etc. I know it'll make some here gnash their teeth and rend hair and flesh in frustration, but I will be polishing this one.
No, that's just the lead gasket from the reserve cap that got jammed then melted on. The boss is fine, just buried in lead at the moment.
I bet the leather filler cap gasket will work fine.At least till you find a replacement material.The bad solder job around the reserve boss can be flicked off using long wood/cotton q-tips loaded with flux.Just heat with a torch till it melts then flick the solder off.Dont clean the brass till after this is done so it won't hold the solder and keep the tank filled with water while you heat.Also you might want to c-clamp the boss to the tank otherwise it may fall off as you heat the solder.After most of the solder is off use 400 600 W/D paper to take off the rest. I think you have a real nice stove there.All you need is a pump handle.

Nice stove it will look well cleaned up . I heat the solder and swipe it when molten with wire wool,you have to be quick and watch your fingers. Never seen that type of pump knob before. Looking forward to seeing it polished.
lol, I know. But, it was relativly cheap. buy it now for $59. shipping was $11. I was not going to complain.

Ron and I are doing a wee trade, no worries. He even has the Opti 00 style with the threads for the reserve cap, exactly what I need for a pre '35 210. Thanks tho. Appreciated mate. I find myself lucky that I only needed one ot 2 parts, the other being a spanner of the right size. Guessin a 00 spanner might do the job. Think Basecamp might have one?
Not all my stoves have spanners so its nice just to buy the smallest wide mouth monkey wrench that you can clip on to your keychain or bug out bike No problem mate, glad that fugly thing attached to your pump shaft will be replaced with a brassie Ron

no kidding, I have no desire to find out what it WAS made of, pretty sure it's not anymore. This thing had enough shipyard grade gunk and crap on it as to make the south end of a north bound wookie look appealing. The burner had to sit in the vin. for an hr or mre, still need to put a polishing felt on my dremel to actually get it clean.
