Interesting how the sleeve on the burner head is ribbed, to keep the head from binding and sticking onto the lipstick vaporizer. Murph
Hi Afoton, both stove and tin are in very fine condition (it is pretty hard to find a tin that old in such a good condition!). Great find! Best regards, Wim
Excellent photo report on the stove, Afoton. Particularly interesting is the ripped burner head. More info can be found here on Bryan's excellent report on the 96. Thanks for posting such detailed photos. Frank
Lovely example of an early 96. I must also congratulate you on the excellent photos of all the details of the stove for the Gallery. It is exactly what other stovies need to compare their Primus 96 stoves.
I agree, terrific presentation and a lovely little stove. Are you going to "preserve" or "polish" it? Stan
I have already done a little work on it for getting it in working order. As long it isn't ugly, I don't want to polish it. The Manaslu in the pictures is new. I don't expect it to be that shiny after some years.
Very nice. The patina is gorgeous! Thanks for sharing. I really like the comparison shots with the others, it give a neophyte like myself a good idea about the actual size of these elusive buggars. Regards, Ridge
