Hello all, first post, and at the outset I would like to say I have enjoyed the tremendous amount of information shared here.

As the title indicates, I have a M1942”wheel” stove but it needs both graphite packings. Having been to the Fettlebox and OCP, I’ve not found a solution yet. Any ideas on how to get these made so I can get the stove running?

Thanks in advance for any feedback you may have.

    Ken

Can you show the areas needed? Not many have a wheelie.

I am attaching a few pics, 2 that show the packing from my stove, with background of the tape measure. It crumbled/split when I dismantled the wheel. Another pic is from a blog that depicts, I believe, both the packing I have, and a smaller height but same diameter packing, which is missing from my stove.

it seems I will need both to make the stove function. Not sure how to tackle this one. IMG_3683.jpeg IMG_3682.jpeg IMG_3681.jpeg IMG_3680.jpeg

That "wheel" looking thing just above the tank is not the "wheel" that is used to adjust the flame on a "wheel" stove. And something is funky with that stove, thinking...

EDIT I now see the new picture, yes that is a wheel stove!

I do have the wheel, just had it off the stove to show where the packing’s should go. Appreciate the help and responses. I’ve read where some members make graphite packings for their projects, but HOW is way over my head, at least at the moment.

OCP should have the tape, may need to make your own.
    Good luck.

Ok, thanks will check on how to work with the tape. I did skim through Amazon and there may be a few options to try. I appreciate the input, thx!
