A.J. Lindemann and Hoverson Gas Stove

    I've been going through a lot of old catalogues trying to research this stove. I've come across small pieces of information here and there. The company was founded in 1875 in Milwaukee. Originally it was owned and operated by a father and son as a hardware store. To attract more business a portion of the hardware store was devoted to light metal fabricating. From those roots it grew, and they were eventually manufacturing everything from lanterns to water heaters and everything in between.

    From what I understand, they didn't sell camping or hiking stoves in that period. They were either to big to move or considered portable which is like the one I have. If you were wealthy you could afford both. Anyhow, that's what I came up with. If I'm wrong in any of this please let me know. Next step, get it fired up I guess!!
