Well I can't seem to find anything other than some AI information to which I don't really trust as the source seems to be from eBay listings hahahaha.... Does anyone know who made (factory) the Korean manaslu 75 stove? Context....I own these two stoves and my understanding is the Hope Manaslu 121 is Japanese and very well regarded. It has a steel flame ring and windscreen with steel legs...and says "manaslu" on the burner across it twice. The other is a Korean made manaslu 75 stove in a tin. Brass flame ring, steel Optimus-like windscreen and says "manaslu/korea" across the burner The Japanese Manaslu stands higher on the feet and has different feet than the Korean counterpart. I am understanding that Manaslu didn't have a contract to make stoves outside of Japan so I'm guessing the Korean is a clone? Who made it? (Left blue is the Korean manaslu kit... Right was what came with the Japanese manaslu.. In a crappy soft red bag)
re "Does anyone know who made (factory) the Korean manaslu 75 stove?" and "I'm guessing the Korean is a clone? Who made it?" I've seen S. Korean Manaslu 75 made by HAN SHIN ------ I recall, here on CCS some initial explanation, cant find it now. The impression I'm left with: I wouldn't consider Korean ones clones but that legit Manaslus were made in both countries. There are several models and variations, such details are not readily available, as far as i know, SO!... we have that to look forward to lol. Quite a bit on CCS (happy hunting!) -and- both Japan & S Korea have enthusiasts online so many more details are out there to be had I'm sure. good luck
