Albert Wonderful to see you back here. Although you are a lantern supremo, you have a lot to contribute to us stovies. Don't be a stranger.
You had better send me an email. I have a new burner and 2 knobs. But am unsure if these knobs fit. there is only 2 types I know of , I think yours uses a split pin, but I must check first. Now that is where I have the problem for the next week. I have moved every thing out of my work shop to do renervations on it. What a mess I have got and can't find things I know I have. Be careful though for the postage may include a stove. I have a few to get rid of to unsuspecting people Thank you all for the warm welcome again. It is good to think I haven't been forgoten. Like I forgot the little - in my user name. It took a few goes to remember it. I must call back in more than I have been.
Albert this addiction encompasses stoves and lights, share yourself around, the folk here, well do they get any better? Sounds like your making great progress on your renovations, good luck with it all. No rush on things, email you soon.
I would also like these instructions please as I have just come across one of these burners. Is there a date and model you know I can not seem to find? Thank you.
I have just been given one of these by my 90 year old mother, the stove was hidden in the back of the shed, I'm redoing the whole stove up to look like new so I can put it on display with my 1967 hr Holden in car shows, are these defiantly KEROSINE?
Hi Geoff - welcome to CCS. I used to have a HR Holden Wagon - great car. Some time ago I bought an Aladdin, similar but not the same as shown , missing inner and outer caps. I have yet to get it going. My understanding is it's kerosene, but I have not really looked at it yet. Norm
G,,day. This is an interesting thread, and not just because of the very nice two burner stoves. I have read about Albert (hello Albert) and this is the first time I can remember seeing you put anything up . Also Barra resurfaces after not being heard of for a while. And probably more Aussie members posting on one thread than I have seen before. After a couple more lantern repairs, I must get into my twin burners . Cheers, kerry
oh dear , I am laughing at my self . it has been pointed out that this is an old thread . I should learn to read dates I could say I did it so you could all have a laugh , but that's not true . cheers, kerry
Oh yes... they are worth something to someone... but this site does not give valuations. That is an uncommon stove - and a good one - and it was made in Australia. It can be made to run like a trooper without much hassle. Cheers Tony
ebay will sell it for you at a dollar more than the second highest bid thats the only valuation we are allowed to give
