Hi guys, A little update. I ordered most off the stuff I need for my stoves except for the 181, 182 and the vulcano. The next thing on the list is making the tool to take out and replace the non return valves. Figure out what kind off fuel the stoves burn on and try to find out there ages. This is the collection at this moment. The green tin is the last addition to the collection. It's an anho 145. Nothing special but nice to have. I will be selling most off them to fund my Volkswagen project camper for next summer. I will keep one or two that are the easiest to use. I confiscated this cabinet at my girlfriends place to work on the stoves. I'm curious what kind off set ups you guys have to work on the stoves. Greetings Stef
@JP2 and @Stef , Thank you. What our membership may never sufficiently explore (in the lounge) is the just sooo many similar interests we have beyond camp stoves. Interesting side discussions can be quite engaging, sharing interesting details in a wide variety of discussion comes as no surprise. Ed has shared a thought re similar interests describing several of these interests for him as anything "traditional outdoorsmanship". Stef, thank you for posting and for this drift. I see your bicycles, FYI cycling travels and various bicycles very old and brand new are definitely popular here. It is the 2 images above that initiated my post. Membership, surely has interest in old V dubs or whatever you want to call them. Please do more than have a look at this link . JP2, Please, if you can easily enough, post your '71 van image in that thread and approx. when you drove it all around Canada? FWIW I've traveled Canada's "bush" on occasion, places Americans can "only get there by plane" , seemingly endless gravel roads (you best gas up whenever you get a chance and hope the hell you don't break down). MANY miles considered "off road" or logger road but unless there is a lot of snow, 4WD is not really needed in my experience. I'm sure the VW could get you pretty much anywhere you wanted to go (incl. very remote [fishing] spots). Whatever you want to share of your travels while up nort is much appreciated, thanks. OH... re your "funny, I have a 71 too" That is "funny" for me too, the two 71s (Canada & Europe) are different. I like hearing of anything that is "older" but aside from that matters not to me if years of the 2 get sorted. Stef, An impressive garage space you share w/us and twin VWs (campervans?), one you restored ! I'd give you 4 thumbs up but i only have 2. @OMC Thanks for the link. I'll be sure to post some picture there off my 71. @JP2 Pretty amazing how similar our busses are. Early bay window styling but the upgraded brake system of the later bay. Best version of the t2 you can have but that's my opinion.
Instead off selling off some stoves they keep multiplying... Found these two online. They where offered by the same seller. The pictures weren't that good and he had them listed as small stoves. I made an offer on both. It was a low offer because I wasn't a 100% sure it was a real 8r and not a clone. Happily he accepted. It seems to be a later 8r in pretty good (dirty) condition. I Bought the Enders for the tank. Decals are in good condition.
