    I know I know
But for me, it's just a date problem: it's the same model, but not to the same period; it has evolved over the years; well, that's just my opinion!

So far I have seen no names or marks anywhere I will give the pump a more detailed look tomorrow.

Lots of similarities with the Cobra on the tank gauge filler/ pressure cap lever etc.
Like John I feel the cobra is a better match than the Mellus.

My Ultra Succes has a gauge very similar. I fancy both that and the pump may well have been made available to 'manufacturers' of many such stoves, and possibly marketed through chain stores such as BHV of Paris (Like British Home Stores in the UK, or Sears in the USA). I have a tin plate tractor and trailer, a wind-up toy with four selectable gears and reverse. But is there a name on it anywhere? Zip! Probably Eastern bloc, but it's not letting on.

Paperwork for the "Darlton" Pressure Stove from Australia also recommends castor oil "which is not soluble in kerosine" That might explain the french recommendation as well.
