My wife and son presented me with this Manaslu 121 for my 51st birthday to go with the Manaslu 96 that I had as my 50th present.
As my stove collection is exceeding 25 now I'm going to need more space.

Can't wait to test it in the shed :) , I'm following advice given on this forum and cleaning the new burner and tank out with acetone and meths first as the 96 kept blocking with flux residues until I cleaned it.

I'll have to wait as I've got an old side tank Monitor stove in bits on the bench that a neighbour found in her attic.

    Hi leehenty!
Congrats. Like you,I too got a Manaslu 96 for my 50th. And with a 123R for last x-mas, I think I'm into something good.
With all those stoves still out there, we just have to keep on wishing , hoping that our beloved ones will take a hint or three ;)
You are a lucky man with wife and son who understands your needs and interrests :content:
Once again, happy birthday, have a long and happy life

    Best regards

Happy Birthday! Is there a US source for Manaslu stoves?

I'm afraid I don't know about US dealer for Manaslu's, I got both mine from Mike at Base Camp who has been very helpful with Optimus parts. It might be worth contacting him to enquire.

These two Manaslu's go with my other stoves, 111 and 111B, 8R, 123R, Monitor C11, and Army no7 to name a few.
I try to use them in turn on camping trips.

Optimus 111 kero was my first stove 35 years ago and still very dear to my heart, it's never let me down.

Wife and son just think I'm totally mad, but they let me carry on, keeps me quiet in the shed.
I've been impressed by the build quality of the Manaslu's and hopefully I'll get the 126 next year to give me a full set.

Grandson no 1 is very interested in how they work, so I'm training another 'stovie' for the future.
