Took a trip to a car boot sale today and picked up a couple of RM stoves. One is the relatively common 1 pint roarer in a red tin, the second stove was one I had not seen before but a quick look in the gallery identifies it as a 35.

    One pint picnic works fine.

Kettle boiled in about 5 minutes.

The 35 also boiled the kettle from cold in about 5 minutes but did it very quietly.

Hi Cabriolet76 a nice score there, I have a 2pint RM roarer which I purchased about 5 years ago unfired in its box, and one or two of the 1 pint they all are great performers, I bet you paid less than what they go for on the bay at the car boot.

I'm getting withdrawal symptoms here in Sussex. So much rain there has not been a boot sale for weeks in my area. All cancelled again today due waterlogged fields.

Mr Optimus, as always I paid close to what the vendor asked.

Trojandog, at least your hosepipe ban has been lifted.

I've just picked up a 35 for a fiver! I was going to use some bits of it as spares for my Primus no5 but seeing yours lit makes me think I may have ago at lighting mine! Nice photos and a good find! :D
