In defense of SPM, I don't think they pitch stuff as first-world quantity. I got a Butterfly wick stove, and it is definitely rough around the edges. As a canning boiler, it is OK. It kicks out the heat. I don't use it in the house, something that I do regularly with my Toyotomi and Alpaca wick stoves.

It looks as if they are trying to make good on the oven.

I have purchased a few Indian Primii. Prabhat quantity is acceptable, although the NRV is hopeless and the pump leather is a joke. I recently purchased a #3 copy from India that would have had possibilities had it not been shipped in a flimsy carton and subsequently run over by a truck.

I have dealt with Lehman's since before the internet. Their service and quality is without question. They charge premium prices for premium products which are typically either US or European made. I assume their oven is the best you can get.

Garrett Wade deals more offshore stuff, but their customer service is again without question. They appear to be the only US Prabhat dealer.

From my experience, SPM is a tiny company trying to survive in a market that was declared dead 50 years ago at least. While John Rockefeller may have made a pile on kerosene, that was few years ago.

    Quality costs. It always has.

I recently purchased a Manaslu 1 pint. The cost with shipping from Japan was four times that of an Indian.stove. it was immediately apparent why.
