I thought it appropriate to wipe the glass off with alcohol stove fuel before applying the sticker.

I remember seeing a billboard at the Oregon California border
Welcome to the future state of Jefferson.

It first started before WWII. World war delayed the vote by congress.

1st post! I live in Sunny SoCal Grand Terrace which is the 909 IE area. Have known about the Ca. ban for about month. Checked the store availability at Home Depot and Walmart found none. Walmart did offer on-line sales of 3 brands so I got 1qt of my regular stuff Kleen Strip, label says methanol so I am good. Got a email today saying will be on door step the 19th. Like most maybe all you folks I love vintage stoves, can not lie. Use Kleen Strip because it burns so clean In my Trangia and use in small squirt bottle to prime the gas stoves that need pre heating. Have used yellow HEET before, which burns clean also, need to see if it is still on shelve.
About the air in SoCal it looks cleaner than before but with a record number of 'bad air quality days' (I think they are national standards) last year and when you can see and smell it, it's bad. I live in the 'South Coast Air Management District' and there are no burn days for home fireplace below 5,000ft too!.
Thanks in advance for the welcomes. Enjoy

Did not see how to 'edit' my above post from last night Ca. bans DA. Googled cities with worst smog this morning and guess what 8 of the top 10 are in Ca. I think the green people in Sacramento, if we like or not are trying to keep of heathy? Kinda like when we were kids and mom would say 'better put a coat on' as we were in shorts and tee shirt wanting to out and play in the snow! enjoy Daryl

Last summer, or maybe the summer before, Walmart sold 4 packs of HEET for an astonishingly low price, plus free shipping if you spend over a certain amount. With the hazmat shipping fees, I've no clue how they made any money.

During the winter, when more people are using it, the price is higher.

Just a note, if you care, HEET is methanol. If you do not care, disregard.

I care to some extent. I'm careful to not get it on my hands or breath the vapors, I don't put it in the baby's bottle or pour it over my morning corn flakes.

Essentially, treat it like any other fuel. I'd be no less careful with ethanol.

One can breath ethanol fumes with many less negative results.

Still using dna, no change. I stocked up and/or bought a second gallon in Nevada when there. Got a couple more gallons of white gas also when thru in July.

Unfortunately, no. I think we can still bring back a liter of agardiente from Mexico, but I haven't tried to do that in years.

Even at $15 [*sale] for a 750ml bottle at BevMo, it's still expensive to burn in a Trangia.
    About 15 50ml shots [=~2oz] for a 30 minute burn.
KleenStripe is $17/Gal at Home Despot.
I haven't tried it in a Zombie yet. I still have some 151. I bought some from them via online mail order last year. [*Retail is $21.49.]
