    Hey, guys - decided to drag another old thing out of its slumber - a stove I haven't used for about a decade, although it was in heavy rotation when I was a kid. She's a bit of a mongrel - Companion tank and legs, Swedish trivet and tank cap and a 1980s Optimus regulated silent burner.
    Holding pressure is her issue. I made a rod spanner out of a concrete pin and removed the NRV. The valve cork was too far gone for the 'flip it around' trick to work, while a diagnostic squirt of WD-40 penetrating spray revealed another, less serious pressure leak past the cap. Unlike many of you people, I only own half a dozen stoves of all descriptions, so I'm not planning any massive bulk orders - I just need to lay my hands on a couple of cap washers and maybe two (one spare) NRV corks/rubbers. Is there a local (as in Australia) DSC_0072.JPG supplier of this stuff? That would hopefully spare me getting hung by the thumbs for crazy international freight charges for shipping tiny objects around the globe. Hot tips would be received with gratitude. For the record, here's the patient.
    On a tangentially related subject, I have unearthed from my youth a stash of stuff I won't be needing in this lifetime. Three silent burner caps, four NOS Companion-stamped flame rings for roarer burners and a spirit cup. Even if you just like stuff for free, get in touch...

    TW Sands in Melbourne is the place to go (or phone). If no-one answers (it’s a small business) leave a message:

    Much obliged, Tony. I'll hit up their website soon. If this thing's going to hang around the house, it might as well be fully functional...

    Buy a sheet of Viton and cut your own washers.

    @sachris

    If you PM me I can probably find what you are looking for in my toolbox and new and gratis.

    The other things you mention are quite good but try to give them to a newer collector(s) who will benefit from them. I'm not a newer collector.

    That's a generous offer, sir. Many thanks. This site seems to have more than its fair share of the kind of people who make you feel pretty good about humanity. PM on the way...
