It appears the dedicated Rando-like camping stoves I envisaged are sold by Soto in Japan (ST-310, Fusion *). So if someone thought there was a demand they could just import them.... *Reflector mentioned them.
Re Camping Gaz Rando 360 NB I think Dr Caffin's worry of liquid gas escape on unscrewing might have been for an non-vertical canister (or A4 rolled away from notch vertical ) but I still think a commercial stove should have a valve at the canister.
