    Hi Doc, Hi Mates,

    I have two Enders stoves,

9061D and Baby model, both need wrenches.
So count me in for 2 wrenches.

By the way, let me give you some good news that I am about to complete special Enders type pump leathers...I will announce shortly...

"I can make enders wrenches.I've made M 1950, Coleman 530,520 and Mod 1942 out of stainless steel .See my listings on the dreaded E-Bay. Right now i'm in production of Optimus wrenches.
I would need an actual wrench to get specs ie:thickness etc.etc. and it might be quite a while until I can return.
If any interested and willing let me Know ...also Enders stove info might be helpful. Joe"

I rec'd the above PM from canon-Joe today with his idea. I would be willing to loan Joe a Enders wrench to get the spec's.

    Evening, Guys,

Duane, Markus, and all who have contributed information to this thread, thank you very much!! Well done, and great information! To those who have offered to make, or have made, our wrenches, HUZZAH to you, as well as those who have offered to send a wrench to be used as a template!! What other forum offers this kind of generosity and sharing?!! 8)

Jim, where does Joe live? Is he near to you, down around Garden Grove? I am thinking that those who are closed to Joe, might consider offering him a wrench to study. I also have made that offer, as have others here at CCS. So, I'm thinking we're pretty well covered there. But, I would like to know is Joe is nearby any of us, and go from there.

So far, it appears that we've got orders for around 21 wrenches already, which is an outstanding start!! I wonder what Joe considers a minimum order? Anyone know? I would love to talk to him, if someone can send me his email address. Or, I can also seek him out on 'the bay, and send him a note there. Probably the best course of action. Duane, as Joe is already making wrenches, let us see if this might work out, and go from there. But, your offer to help get these made is a very kind and generous one, and very much appreciated!! I will be talking to you via PT very soon, but need to get on with a bit more work, then cook dinner for tonight. Thanks, again, to one and all!!!       Take care, and God Bless!

    Every Good Wish,
Doc (who is mightily impressed with the quality of our CCS membership!!)

    Evening, All,

Again, I send humble and sincere thanks to everyone who has contributed to this project!! You are all great Gentlemen, and I appreciate your enthusiasm for this! To Jeff and Duane, especially, thanks for each going the extra mile to help on this!!

I talked to Joe today on the phone, and I believe we have a plan that may well work out for us all. Here is the plan, in a nutshell, and I will definitely keep you all posted on how this develops as it moves along.

Joe is definitely interested in making our wrenches, and after seeing his work, on 'the bay, I believe he will do a fine job, and with his experience in already making some fine repros of Coleman wrenches, we will all be more than satisfied with the Enders repros he will eventually make for us! As it stands, he will make an initial run of 60 wrenches. He will allot 30 of those Enders wrenches to interested CCS members, and those on the list already will be the first served. I will keep the list updated, so that I know when we reach the magic number of 30, after which, Joe will offer the 30 that he is keeping, on his site on 'the bay. As it looks right now, with the amount of work that is needed to make a carbon copy of a proper Enders wrench, with all it's different sized holes, he thinks that his price for our 30 will be around $15-$20, which I believe is more than fair for a custom-made, exact copy of an Enders wrench. He will know better, after he sees the sample I am sending him. Though he can make them out of stainless steel, he believes he can do a better price using mild steel, and making them a tad thicker for extra strength, if he feels they need it.

Two things to remember, however: First, he would prefer to do this all through one CCS member, rather than having everyone contact him personally. He is very busy keeping up with his site on 'the bay, and feels it will be far less involved if one person here handles all this, money-wise. So, I volunteered, and he is agreeable with that situation. How does that sound to you all? As I see it, I will take the orders, and then you can pay me for whatever your wrench costs, plus the shipping to you. I will send Joe the money he will charge us for our wrenches, and take care of the shipping from him to me, out of my own pocket. He does not do business overseas, unfortunately, as he does not have the time to do so. Plus, he is only making a token amount on all the wrenches he makes. This is more of a hobby for him, than a money-maker. For my Brother Sefa, and any other overseas CCS members who want one of these, up to the 30 we will have alloted to us, I will send your wrenches to you at no extra cost to you, beyond what the wrench costs, and shipping to your destination. Be sure to give thought to things going missing in the Post, and other such problems. This will have to be a one time shot, as I cannot help you if something goes amiss with such a order, unfortunately. Our business just keeps me much too busy, and my time is very tightly limited right now. Second, Joe will have to do our wrenches on his own time, and will definitely not be doing them immediately. He, too, is fairly busy, and he cannot promise any specific time for delivery. But, he is going to try for being ready to ship the wrenches to me in around 8-10 weeks, after he gets the sample, does the proper measurements, shops for materials, and gets the machinery setup. This will work perfectly for me. How does it work for you guys? For anyone not willing to wait, just let me know, and I'll remove your name from the list we already have going. For those who cannot abide by the rules that Joe needs followed, regarding no personal contact, and going through me on this deal, please just let me know, and I'll remove you from the list of those who wanted such items, with no hard feelings, at all.

So, what say you, Mates? Does this sound good to you all? For those who have already signed on, please let me know if we're still a go, or if you want to be removed from the list. For those who still have not committed to buying one of these, I recommend that you do so as quickly as you can. Right now, we have around 24 wrenches spoken for, so that only leaves a few left for grabs, unless someone drops off the list.

I am willing to take the financial risk involved in doing this, and I hope you are all OK with the reasonable rules by which Joe would like to conduct this business. I will be out of touch for a while, very soon. So, please let me know your thoughts at your earliest convenience. Thanks, again, to one and all who jumped into this worthy project, and as I say, any updates or new information, will be shared here in this thread. Take care, and God Bless!

    Every Good Wish,
    Doc

P.S. I could not get to all the PT's I received today, but will try to do so in the next few days. For those whom I may have missed today, many thanks for your understanding!  :D :D

Dear Brother Doc, you have made an outstanding plan for getting and delivering the wrenches. We should first thank to the person who will produce those wrenches and of course secondly your great effort offer during your very much time consuming daily work.

However alloting the cost of sending some wrenches to persons who live in overseas among the ones residing in the US would cause extra addings to unit prices to yourselves. That is (if I didn't misunderstood) a very outstanding thinking. But to my end, please be informed that I want to pay whatever the cost is, additional to postage fee. Then I would feel better.

You are so and so kind, as always. But please note this point sperately. You or any other person living in US who has a paypal account, can collect the moneys from overseas members and can deliver it to the producer.

I think this way would speed up placing orders and encourage all members.

Againg Dear Mate, you are so kind and supportive person.

Sorry for my inadequate English, if I wrote something not exactly saying what I feel and think.

    Sounds Good Doc,
But I must agree with Sefa. You cannot take the hit for cost that will not be passed on to buyer's.I do still want a one, or two if can be, after all have ordered. The Enders that I just bought, but have not gotten yet, does have one with it.YES, I am the PROUD NEW OWNER of a Enders.I cannot wait to get me dirty little paws on it.But back to the wrench. The Pay-Pal idea sounds OK to me. That way you get your money Quick, and you know what you have, and who.Be here if needed, and Hats of to you all involved.

    Thanks again Doc,
    God Bless to all
    Duane

sounds good Doc, I agree with the above comments lets let the real price be the price we pay. No one should have to foot a portion of the bill to help the group.

Maybe if we all pay $1.00 more for each wrench or something it will all even out and be easy.

Should we have a list of who has ordered what? I am waiting to see if the finished wrenches have Enders written on them in script

Sounds real good Doc, I want to thank you for the exceptional effort on your part to make this happen. I agree with the comment regarding getting the wrenches to our overseas brothers. A little extra on the wrench to assist in oversea postage.

    Hallo Doc,
whitch sort would you cut? the wrench with the 9mm or with 10mm key? Or both sorts?

By the way, what do you think about 3mm for it - I think it would be better for the tank- and the pumpscrew

I would take at least 5 of both sorts

    RJ

P.S. I have no PayPal:-( I hope we will find a way.

I am just tossin this out there to all wrench heads wanting, and included in this ](*,) ](*,)

Every one is wanting a different wrench ](*,) . But one wrench could be designed to fit all. These are not going to be ORIGINALS anyway.I am sure that all wrenches put together have alot of the sme sizes on them. So the open ended wrench ends are most important. So how many different open ended sizes are there ?? If there are just a couple, Joe could design a longer wrench with all other wrench sizes in the middle. YES, This does complicate thing some, but it can be done. Joe would need one of all, the Enders wrenches ](*,) out there to do this. Poor Joe.

Like I said it would not be easy, But just a thought to keep everyone happy. Or just make copies of all wrenches ??????????
