    Good Morning, All,

Well, CASG#10 is in the history books, and what a fantastic event it was!!! We had a wonderful turn-out, the weather was fantastic, lots of stoves and lanterns were fettled, BajaBum's fund raiser got off to an excellent start with lots of money being raised, and as always, we enjoyed some creative comestibles and lots of excellent companionship!!! We all got to meet some new friends, but we also deeply missed those of our CASG Family, who could not join us this year!! All in all, CASG #10 was our most favorite California Stove Gathering, yet!!!

I took a ton of photos, some of which must be SEEN to be believed, but it's going to take me a bit of time before they are ready to post. So, please give me a week, or so, and I promise to post a detailed report, with lots of great photos, so you can have "been there" with us, vicariously!!! Until then, for those who attended, please do not post any photos, or reports, as we discussed at the event. Many thanks to one and all who made the trip out to Mid Hills Campground, and we hope you all made it home, safe and sound. As we were the last ones to leave (lots to pack up!), we got out about 4pm, then proceeded to "be a mite confused" for around two hours, and ended up taking a hugely circuitous, exceedingly rough, and rock-strewn series of roads, before finally finally getting back to the Interstate Highway, just a few miles from Nevada!!! After fighting the return Easter traffic, and getting something to eat at The Mad Greek, in Baker, we finally arrived back home and were in bed at 1AM!! SHEESH!! Oh, well, all's well that ends well!

Talk to you all soon, and until then, God Bless!

    Every Good Wish,
    Doc

Took me 12 hours with short breaks to get home, two gas stops with nature calls spread around for Repo and myself. Over 500 miles from Barstow to home, no wrong turns but hard to recall all the strange freeway numbers, almost headed to San Bernardino, decided Bakersfield was closer to home. Thought I saw a lake that was not there before, but was a large bank of solar panels.
Won the auction on that Coleman, kero marine stove.

PS-snowing above Mammoth when I went by there. Rain other places.

Oh, you got that copper colored marine stove? That looked like a cool one.

Nice to have met Repo. Sorry my daughter couldn't make it this time. I think she would have liked to have met Repo.

No, don't have copper colored marine stove. Won one off the bay, 345.

    Greetings, All,

I have now selected 65 photos, and one video to share here, which will give you a good look at CASG #10, and all the fun those of us who attended shared together!!! For those who did attend, HUZZAH to you all for joining in the fun, friendship, food, and fettling!! Very well done! For those who could not attend, you were missed, and we all hope you can join us for #11, which may be held a bit farther North and closer to the Coast, someplace! I'll post my photos, and a report either tonight, or tomorrow, and look forward to doing so! Sweet Bride and I very much enjoyed reliving the event, through the photos I'm going to post here, and we hope you all like them, too! Take care, and God Bless!

    Every Good Wish,
    Doc

P.S. The Fund Raiser for our dear friend and fellow Stovie, BajaBum, was a huge success, and we are off to a wonderful start!! The funds raised, so far, and quite a few photos, will help you see the fun we all had during that part of it!!
