Greetings, All, Sweet Bride and I have just returned from our CASG #12 event, and everyone who attended is back home again, safe and sound. This morning, I went through the tons of photos I took of the event, and filed 57 photos to share here! We had a great time, and as soon as time permits, I will post the photos, and let you know about some of the fun we all enjoyed! HUGE thanks to those hearty souls who were able to attend the event! More about that later. Talk soon, and God Bless! Every Good Wish, Doc
@Doc Mark Sorry I couldn't make it to CASG #12. Turns out I already had a camping trip planned for southern Utah. We had 12 people attend from all over...Santa Rosa, Washington D.C., Ojai, Ventura, and Santa Barbara. No classic camp stoves but I did do some cooking in my 16" Dutch Oven including the cornbread shown below as well as apricot cobbler, and a breakfast egg dish. Ben Ben
Hey, Ben, we missed you, but fully understand you had previous plans. Looks like you had a fine time, too! Thanks for sharing, and we'll see you another time, my friend! - Doc Mark
Spent three days with three of of the most welcoming couples one could ever meet. Mark-Doc Mark, Ken-snwcmpr, Arch-ArchMc and spouses. Felt part of the group from first hug till the last. I stop by Indian Wells about 25 miles to the east of Mid Hills Campground the first morning. Amazing site inhabited for thousands of years because of natural spring. Spent hour trading stories of you name it. Can't go much more without a big thank you to Ken for gifting me a Turner No.1111 single. He asked about a month back what I was still wanting. He mentioned he may have one. I gave him some good green for it but he returned it. Thank you, Thank you. Will share more about that latter. No more waiting
More what you came for right? Did stop by Hole in the Wall Campgrounds for the Ring Loop trail on way out. Took plenty of stoves and as usual ate well. Enjoy
+1 I wish I could have made. As some of you already know I'm getting my right shoulder replaced this month and the surgery has been pushed to the 28th. The scenery looks amazing though. Maybe next time. Mike.
