The cap in the thread I linked to was 62mm diaeter, whatever that was off. THe new cap in question is 65mm, but with a lot more holes...
@Blackdog oh ok I have seen, the link name confused me, seemed you compared it to 4047 But I am blind and I have seen 4047 and not 4147 ahah LOL That burner in the linked post is probably a Primus 7 burner, right? As I said I had one of those caps, similar diameter maybe, but probably half the height. Nicola
@Remus1956 Where did you find the tap? I've been thinking about doing some silly things with my Taiwan Svea, and would want to make my own bell for the silliness. Measuring my threads, and looking through other forum threads, it looks like 15/32-26 is the "correct" thread size, but you used 7/16-26. How tight was it? any damage/deformation of the threads?
@Maverick It was not tight at all...a little loose actually. No deformed threads and the original bell screws on tight with no wobble at all. I chased the threads in a known good bell to be sure. I found the taps on eBay of all things... pretty cheap
Hrm. Maybe the stove uses a truncated thread... Edit: derp. It's an 8r. Those are 7/16. The 123r is 15/32
