I got this gem at the fleamart. At first I thought it was missing the key and oven supports, but soon found them in another box luckily. It mainly needed a good cleaning. I oiled the pump cup and it passed air. Soon it was up an running. These are later #9 burners but they work great! Much better than the originals. I have another with the baffle plate burners and its temperamental. i need more easy wins like this!
Absolutely stunning stove there. Man...thats one I have wanted to find in a long time...you did a great job on it!
I definitely get lucky sometimes. I was able to talk the guy down from what he was asking, but would have paid full price. He had a tilley R1 heater and a a 427 lantern but wanted way too much for those. Also a 413, but I prefer the older GPAs.
About three months ago I bought one of these at an estate sale for $20. It is out in my garage gathering dust.
Thats a nice score!!! Its beautiful and you have the oven grate! Those dont show up as much. Great price too. You should clean that up and do some cooking!
@FishNChips Are you going to put your No.2 in the Reference Gallery? It’s a good candidate! Cheers Tony
