Being in the mountains, I really like camping along the Lost Coast section. Last trip I did with a friend and his girlfriend was shortly after I retired 5 years ago, camped right on the beach, a nice log near to sit on while cooking. Loved it! Duane
Howdy, @freediver ! WOW!! What a wonderful tale of stove discovery, and resurrection!! AS you found, those old Coleman stoves are incredibly tough! Long ago, I bought my first Coleman Model 500, made in 1947, and though not as bad off as yours was, mine certainly needed some help. Thanks Haggis! I did that Lost coast trip once too and about 5 years ago. We went around this time of year and saw a lot of whales. It is a nice place to camp. Thank you @Doc Mark . I checked out your Mexican 500. That is a good story.
