Greetings, All, I have had more than a few Coleman 530 stoves over the years. Most have come from swap meets and garage sales, and most have cost around $2-$10. Only one was really unusable, due to too much rust in the tank, and only one came with it's full complement of goodies, including the simmering plate. So, the comment that the simmering plate being rare, are spot on the money. Glad to have one that is actually in mint condition, but it's also nice to have the others, too. I've given quite a few away, over the years, and am now down to what I consider a good stable of them. 8) This has been a fun thread, and Ross, it was great to see that display board for your 530!! Well done, and a great score for you. Take care, and God Bless! Every Good Wish, Doc
DANG, Shag! That is a lovely Coleman 530!! Thanks for sharing it with us, and congrats on owning that little gem of a stove!! 8) Take care, and God Bless! Every Good Wish, Doc
That is one nice 530 Trevor. It looks like has never been fired. You should put that in the gallery. Thanks for sharing. Cheers, Jeff
When I acquired the 530 it was in a used condition. I fired it and it worked just fine. I took it all apart and cleaned it bit by bit - many hours! I then put it all back together. I don't intend (at the moment) to re-fire it as I have 'users'.
Morning, Trevor, Good on ya', Mate!! I'm with you on having a few "special" stoves that do not see fire! Like you, I have plenty of user stoves, and so when one like your wonderful 530 comes along, it more than deserves a place of honor in your collection! Thanks, again, for sharing it with us, and God Bless! Every Good Wish, Doc
